This is a space where you can find validation, solutions, hope, and inner peace. I take a holistic and integrative approach to mental health treatment, meaning we will work together to explore effective techniques from various therapeutic modalities and tailor therapy to meet your unique needs.
I am trained in and confident in guiding you through a range of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Exposure Therapy-EXRP, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Behavior Management training, for example the Incredible Years program. My goal is to make therapy not only effective but also engaging and enjoyable, helping clients feel empowered and equipped to cope life challenges.
I also provide culturally competent mental health services tailored to the unique experiences of Chinese and Asian communities. As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the significance of cultural identity, intergenerational relationships, and the stigma surrounding mental health in many Asian cultures. With a deep understanding of cultural values, family dynamics, societal expectations, and the challenges of cultural adaptation, I create a supportive space where clients can explore their struggles openly and without judgment. By integrating this awareness into therapy, I help clients navigate emotional challenges, reconcile cultural expectations with personal well-being, and develop coping strategies that align with their values and lived experiences.
Creativity is a powerful tool for healing and self-expression. In my practice, I integrate art and creative activities—such as drawing, crafting—as a way to help clients explore their emotions, process thoughts, and communicate in alternative ways. These activities can be fun, inspiring, and calming, making therapy a more engaging and meaningful experience. Whether used for emotional expression, stress relief, or personal growth, creativity adds a unique and enriching dimension to the therapeutic journey, particularly for children population.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, OCD, or challenging behaviors, or seeking tools to better manage parenting, I offer a compassionate, trauma informed, culture competent, and holistic approach to therapy. I’m here to support you in achieving meaningful, lasting changes.
I provide individual and family therapy for children, parents, and some adults (for adults, services currently limited to anxiety and OCD only), addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to:
Anxiety
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Depression
Adjustment issues
Trauma and stress-related disorders
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Disruptive Behaviors
parent-child conflicts
While I strive to support a wide range of mental health needs, due to availability limitations, I currently do not accept clients with active suicidal thoughts or self harm, severe trauma symptoms, high conflict or aggression, or those mandated by the court for treatment. If you are unsure whether my services are the right fit for you, I welcome you to schedule a free consultation to discuss your needs.
