About Me

Chang Liu is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over twelve years of experience in mental health research and clinical practice.

Originally from China, Chang moved to the United States in 2010 for graduate studies, completing a Master’s and Ph.D. in Social Work with a clinical mental health focus at The Ohio State University.

Chang works primarily with children, parents, and young adults, offering culturally sensitive care to Chinese and Asian communities. Areas of expertise include anxiety, OCD, life stress, sleep difficulties, disruptive behaviors, and parent training.

Years spent in children’s hospitals and healthcare settings — collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex emotional and behavioral challenges — shaped a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and deeply human approach to care.

Beyond the therapy room, Chang loves gardening, traveling, and exploring new cuisines, and treasures time with family — a child, a dog, two cats, and a small flock of chickens. Drawing and crafting are favorite creative outlets, and often find their way into the work.
